Social media site helps illustrate convenience and availability of getting an online education from Kaplan Continuing Education
Fort Lauderdale, FL, January 21, 2010 — Kaplan Continuing Education (KCE), a leader in online career education, today announced a new online resource for potential students. The refreshed Kaplan Continuing Education channel on YouTube helps explain the benefit of getting an online education and provides a platform for evaluation of career education programs. Utilizing this social media tool, KCE has developed videos that provide students with information about continuing education programs in nursing, health care, IT and business.
A Kaplan Continuing Education survey of 908 students shows strong interest in online programs. In fact, 74 percent of those who responded indicated they went to the Internet to find information about online certificates. The YouTube channel was developed to address the heightened interest by supplying information in the format preferred by this new generation.
“Students tell us that when considering career education, program evaluation is critical. Utilizing these different platforms and social media tools will help potential students understand how to obtain a career education online and how KCE can help. As we continue to expand and offer continuing education programs in health care, nursing, IT, business, and fire and emergency medical services (EMS), we’ll evaluate and tailor them to the needs of the workforce,” said Ron Trautman, president of Kaplan Continuing Education.
Professionals who plan to enroll in Kaplan Continuing Education programs should visit the YouTube channel to get a sneak peek of the online learning experience. There, visitors will get an understanding of how an online education could help further their career.
