Medical office managers may pursue career opportunities in physicians’ offices in solo and group practices, hospitals, clinics, labs, state and local health departments, chiropractic, veterinary, and dental offices, hospice centers, and medical research centers.


The average salary of a medical office manager with less than 1 year of experience is $35,762; 1 to 4 years is $35,956; 5 to 9 years is $39,624; 10 to 15 years is $41,974.

 Is This Program Right For Me? 

This program is designed for individuals who possess a high school diploma or GED and wish to pursue a career as an administrative leader in a medical office environment. Positions may include office manager, assistant office manager, or front office manager.


Students enrolling in the Medical Office Management Certificate program must demonstrate basic computer skills through successful completion of a challenge exam or submission of a transcript reflecting completion of a college-level computer course. Students unable to satisfy this requirement must complete the Medical Office Management Certificate program's Introduction to Computer Skills course. There will be no charge to the student for either the challenge exam or the Introduction to Computer Skills course.
