Certificate in Financial Planning Course Descriptions

The Financial Planning Online Review Course is designed for:

  • Students who have completed Kaplan University’s online Certificate in Financial Planning program (no additional tuition charge for the course for graduates of the entire program).
  • Graduates of CFP Board-Registered Programs other than Kaplan University’s Certificate in Financial Planning.
  • Individuals who intend to challenge the CFP® Certification Examination. In order to challenge, one or more of the following designations must be earned: CPA, CFA®, CLU, ChFC, licensed attorney, DBA, or PhD in business or economics.
*Kaplan Continuing Education's (KCE) programs are designed to prepare graduates to pursue employment in their field of study, or in related fields. However, KCE does not guarantee that graduates will be placed in any particular job or employed at all.

†Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, and  certification marks, which are awarded to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements. Kaplan University does not certify individuals to use CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, and  marks. CFP certification is granted solely by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., to individuals who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience, and examination requirements.
